Ajax: Brent & Sarah’s Comedy Magic Show [June 4]

From St. Francis Centre:

Saturday, June 4

Brent and Sarah’s Comedy Magic Show combines magic, music, comedy and interactive audience participation in a way that feels more like a two-person variety show than a traditional magic act. But it’s also a non-stop laugh riot from beginning to end. It’s what you get when you pair together two magicians with skill and talent that don’t take themselves too seriously. Brent and Sarah are a husband and wife team of magicians with a unique and hilarious approach to magic. Unlike traditional magic shows that feature a male magician and a female assistant, this entertaining couple has brought magic into the 21st century with a thrilling two-person show that can’t be seen anywhere else. The show is sure to amaze and impress, but it is Brent and Sarah’s hilarious personalities and on-stage chemistry that keep audiences raving about the dynamic duo.

New video project for Canadian magicians

From Brent and Sarah Nicholls:
I hope you’re doing well despite everything that’s going on.
I’m working on an idea to make a music video that is a compilation of Canadian magicians. It would be something like this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7GElP4YdrBE ,
but instead of having you sing I would simply need you to perform a magic effect for the camera.
WHY?
My intention is simply to create a fun video that showcases Canadian magicians during this strange time where we can’t showcase ourselves properly. I may also add a Facebook tip jar that has all proceeds going to something like Canadian Food Bank.
IF YOU’D LIKE TO BE INCLUDED:
1. You must be a Canadian
2. You need to be a “working pro” (full time magician)
3. You must submit the clip before May 8th at noon
4. The clip must be no longer than 5 seconds (unfortunately longer videos will not be included)
5. You must include your stage name and city where you live in the body of your email
HOW TO SUBMIT YOUR VIDEO:
All you would need to do is upload the clip to your YouTube channel (you can make it “Unlisted" if you don’t want anyone else to see it) and then email me the link at magic@brentandsarah.com before the deadline.
VIDEO TIPS
The better your clip looks (lighting etc) the more likely it will feature prominently in the video (if you don’t have great lighting in your home consider shooting outside in natural light). Please know that music will be played over the video so audio is not necessary. The magic you perform can be serious, funny, kid-friendly etc.. or if you’d rather just smile and wave that’s fine too. Please ensure your clip is shot in HD.
NOT INTERESTED?
That’s OK, but please feel free to pass this along to any magicians you know who might be. My magician database isn’t the biggest so I would appreciate you sharing since I don’t want to leave anyone out!
I hope you’re staying safe and sane during this crazy time 🙂
Sincerely,
Brent Nicholls
(Brent and Sarah)

IncrediBrent and Super Sarah in the Timmins Press

From the Timmins Press:

TIMMINS - IncrediBrent and Super Sarah took to the stage at Timmins Centennial Public School on Friday to wow the elementary school children with magic, comedy and lessons about bullying.
Known off-stage as Sarah and Brent Nicholls, the married comedic duo tours the country doing anti-bullying magic and comedy show for kids.

They did two presentations at Timmins Centennial on April Fool’s Day and it was obvious from the cheering and enthusiastic crowd that all the kids in attendance had a great day.
Jayden Tessier, a nine-year-old at the school, said he learned a lot about bullying and how to deal with it should it happen to himself or one of his friends at school.

“They taught us find your magic, believe in yourself, you aren’t alone and anything is possible,” the young student recalled of the lessons taught by the magicians.

Brent and Sarah Nicholls in the Cambridge Times

From the Cambridge Times:
In an enchanted world, married magician couple Brent and Sarah Nicholls could wave their magic wands and make all wicked words and bullying behaviour disappear into a cloud of dust.

“Unfortunately, that’s one thing that’ll never happen,” acknowledged Brent, during an interview with the Times this past Tuesday (April 7).

Fort Erie Times: IncrediBrent and Super Sarah

From the Fort Erie Times:
Behind the laughter and the magic tricks, Brent and Sarah Nicholls had an important message for Stevensville Public School students last Thursday morning.

“We teach students about the four secrets of magic: anything is possible, believe in yourself, you’re not alone and find your magic,” Brent Nicholls said.

The Fort Erie native, known to children as IncrediBrent, travels to schools across Ontario with his wife, Sarah, to entertain children and teach them about the effects of bullying.

“As much as the show is about anti-bullying, it’s about confidence,” Nicholls explained.

“Confidence and bullying go hand-in-hand. Kids who are self confident are less likely to be bullied and they are less likely to bully.”

Nichols said there is a difference between calling someone a name or hurting their feelings and bullying.

“Bullying is when it's repeated. The real issue is when someone is being repeatedly picked on. We make sure to define what bullying is, and not just anything is bullying,” he said.

The show is meant to empower students and give them the tools to deal with bullying.
