Stars of Tomorrow

Show Producer Marlene Clark is seeking to hire young performers for the “Stars of Tomorrow” show, a professional stage show that features magicians ages 7 through 17. The show is part of the annual S.A.M. National Convention that will take place July 23 through July 26, 2012, in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Chris Pilsworth: One in a Million

OTTAWA — In his signature trick, Ottawa magician Chris Pilsworth starts with a cactus and a balloon, and ends up with the cactus inside the balloon.

Its genesis occurred when he saw a photograph of comedian Steve Martin in Esquire magazine. In the photo, Martin held a balloon on one arm and a cactus on the other, and Pilsworth thought, “What if?”

New Westminster: Trevor and Lorena Watters

Husband and wife magician duo Trevor and Lorena Watters will bring their internationally acclaimed magic show to Massey Theatre on Feb. 11 as part of Ypres Charitable Society’s fundraising efforts.

Trevor and Lorena have been performing for over a decade and have won 20 international awards for comedy magic along the way. The duo first met while studying theatre at Douglas College.
