The Canadian Association of Magicians is pleased to announce a special virtual CAM JAM event on Wednesday, October 12, at 8 pm EST! It's an exclusive look at the historic FISM World Championship of Magic in Quebec City!
From the August 3rd post "WOW! What a week! FISM Quebec 2022 was AMAZING! See Exclusive CAM photos." by Ryan Joyce at CAM:
Quebec City expanded artistic boundaries by introducing bold ideas and themes. A fresh spark of excitement has rekindled in the minds and hearts of magicians worldwide because of FISM Quebec 2022.
The six-day convention and competition brought together over thousand magicians from fifty countries and featured some of the best magicians worldwide. Simon Coronel and Laurent Piron become FISM Grand Prix Winners in close-up and stage. Coronel presents an impossible linking card miracle, and Piron makes paper come to life on stage. Applause!
Making new friends, catching up with old friends and seeing extraordinary talented magicians did something wonderful to my soul. I know I’m not alone. Canadians should be proud of the historical mark FISM Quebec 2022 contributes and its influence on a new generation.
Hopefully, many of them will be Canadian.
The Canadian Association of Magicians is proud to acknowledge the efforts of our President, RenΓ©e-Claude Auclair, Pierre Hamon, the entire FISM Team and over one hundred and fifty volunteers that made FISM Quebec 2022 possible.

From the May 18th article "Quebec will host the World Magic Championships for the first time" by Justin Staircase in le Soliel (translated by Google):
For the very first time, the World Magic Championships will be held in North America, in Quebec City, alongside the 11th Magic Festival, from July 25 to 31.
The championship will be held from July 25 to 30 and will take the form of several galas that will complement the magic festival that will be held in parallel. Ms. Auclair clarified at a press conference on Wednesday that the event was originally scheduled for 2021 before being canceled. One hundred and ten competitors are expected to participate in the competition, which will end with a gala of champions on July 30.
RenΓ©e-Claude Auclair believes that hosting such an event within the walls of Quebec could make the city one of “four or five essential destinations in the world of magic”.
THE SUN, PATRICE LAROCHEQuebec will also host the eleventh edition of the Quebec Magic Festival, in partnership with the International Federation of Magical Societies (FISM). The spokesperson for this edition Luc Langevin detailed the “500 hours of free entertainment in the streets of Quebec, from Sillery to Limoilou” and “the 2500 magicians expected”. The magician also said he was proud to be associated with such an episode because “magic is family, everyone likes it”.
