Ryan Joyce is poised to walk through walls — and other objects — for the Children’s Wish Foundation of Canada.
The well-known Canadian magician brings his family-friendly magic and mentalism act to St. Joan of Arc Catholic High School in Barrie April 13. This benefit show will raise money for the foundation’s Ontario chapter.
“The foundation helps bring smiles to many boys and girls with life-threatening illnesses, by making their greatest wish come true,” show spokesperson Patricia Ferreira said.
This event includes a performance by Spring Action Trampoline Show acrobats.

Magic is in the air and the fingers of James Harrison.
The Barrie magician has taken pick-pocketing to new heights over the past several years and he will be performing at two shows this weekend at the Mady Centre for the Performing Arts, including one the family and especially for kids.
"The family show will still be entertaining for grown-ups. but the themes will be more generic. It will be my fun and light-hearted, entertaining kind of show," said Harrison, who will be doing some pick-pocketing at both shows, but the family show will be more like an Oliver Twist version.
"I don't ever make fun of the kids, but parents are fair game," he said. "And the kids love that."

“The International Grand Champion of Magic” Greg Frewin is coming to Oakville’s The Meeting Place Oct. 22.
The stop is part of the award-winning magician’s Imagine Tour, which supports the Canadian Diabetes Association and also has stops in Peterborough, Barrie and North Bay.
“Today, one in four Canadians has been diagnosed with diabetes. Diabetes is a serious disease that is becoming the leading cause of death in Canada,” stated a media release.
