I remember Herb Morrissey, back in the mid 1990s, talking about a young man in southern Ontario who was working hard to take the magic world by storm. He very much did.
Here's a video of the bird act, that he presented at FISM in Yokohama, Japan in 1994.

Perfect Magic: Sale, sale, sale!
From the Perfect Magic blog:
Some of the items were on the last sale, but most of them are not. The items are at least 50% discount, most are 60% discount, and some are more. It lasts until July 31, 2018 or before if items are sold out, so order now if there’s something you want.
You may not be interested in the items I listed ON SALE, but surely you’ll find something of interest in 1561 items. So this is what I decided to do. I’m attaching the complete list without prices. If there’s anything you want, send Perfect Magic an email of your list, up to 10 items, and I will send you their Sale Price and you can decide if you want them or not and we can make arrangements for payment from there. You can buy more than 10 items of course, but it would be hard for me to be looking up lists for 100 items at a time. You can send another 10 after you get my reply if you’re interested in more stuff.

From Caesars Windsor:
Darcy Oake ALL AGES (RESCHEDULED DATE): Thursday, August 16, 3 pm & 8 pm.
Finalist in 2014 Britain’s Got Talent, entertaining performance artist and talented illusionist, Darcy Oake performs his logic-defying act live at The Colosseum for an ALL AGES show.
Over 200 million viewers tuned in to Britain's Got Talent to witness the birth of a phenomenon: the unveiling of an electrifying new illusionist, Darcy Oake. From sleight of hand to death-defying escapades, this master magician grabbed the world's attention, ushering in an exciting new era of an age-old art form. Oake is a performance artist whose modern interpretation gratifies the hunger of audiences seeking spectacle and nail-biting feats of illusion. Inspired by classic sleight of hand techniques, Darcy transports the crowd to another dimension with exhilarating visuals and logic-defying exploits. After being baffled by an accidental card trick his father - award-winning Canadian sportscaster Scott Oake – showed him at eight years old, Darcy delved into the craft.
