From the October 17th Facebook post by Kent Wong:

Many years ago, I had the pleasure of getting to know Garnett Millard, an extremely enthusiastic hobbyist magician.  We spent time together, honing some of his acts before he would head south to Palm Desert for the winters.  While there, he and other members of their local magic club would regale each other with various tricks and partake in free lectures from visiting magicians.  He really seemed to love it down there.
