• April 2nd, 1902 - Electric Theatre, the first full-time movie theater in the United States, opens in Los Angeles, California. 
• April 2nd, 1931- Teenage girl strikes out Babe Ruth & Lou Gehrig in an exhibition game in Chattanooga, Tennessee. 
• April 2nd, 1954 - Plans to build Disneyland are announced.
• April 2nd, 1956 - Soap operas As the World Turns & Edge of Night premiere on TV.
