Have a read of the excellent interview in One Ahead, where Chris talks about the new online demonstration category in FISM 2025 and the future of magic in general.
From the February 27th article "This Is Totally New For FISM" by Tobias Hudson in One Ahead:
The process involved much brainstorming to understand what the online shift would look like, and Ramsay credits FISM organiser Walter Rolfo for being receptive to the idea.
But the question naturally follows: Does an online FISM category translate to higher levels of attendance, and more importantly, a longer-term desire to upkeep and cultivate the event for future generations?
Ramsay believes this can only happen if changes are made to the fundamental structure of the event:

McKim, Warren, – It is with great sadness the family of Warren Douglas McKim announce his passing on February 21, 2025 at Embassy Hall, Shannex in Quispamsis, NB. Warren was born in West Saint John on March 5, 1927, the son of the late John Ivison McKim and Maude Louise (Christopher). Warren was employed with Furness Withy, Furncan Marine Ltd. For 47 years, retiring as manager of the Saint John office in 1992. Aside from his marine duties, he was an ardent aviation enthusiast having commenced his flying activities at the old Millidgeville Airport in 1947. He was a member of the Turnbull Chapter of the Canadian Historical Society and a past member of the Civil Air Search and Rescue Association. Warren loved the music of the 40’s including the Big Band era and played the trumpet and saxophone in several local dance orchestras. He loved magic and was a member of the Magic Circle Club.
